This trial was conducted to evaluate the response of male and female Large White turkeys to dietary supplementation with 50 g/ton of bacitracin methylene disalicylate (BMD) when fed in combination with 90 g/ton of monensin. The supplements were included in nutritionally complete diets from day-old to market age (101 and 115 days for females and males, respectively). The addition of BMD significantly improved the growth rate of both male and female turkeys fed diets supplemented with 90 g/ton of monensin. The addition of BMD significantly improved feed utilization of both sexes at 70 days of age and of females at 101 days. There were no effects of dietary treatments on the number of birds that died or were culled during the study.
