A trial was conducted to evaluate the response of male and female Large White turkeys to dietary supplementation with 50 g/ton of zinc bacitracin (AB) fed in combination with 90 g/ton of monensin. The supplements were included in nutritionally complete diets from day-old to market age (101 and 115 days for females and males, respectively). Supplementation with ZB significantly improved growth rate of both male and female turkeys fed diets supplemented with 90 g/ton of monensin. Addition of ZB significantly improved feed utilization of females at 70 days of age. There were no effects of dietary treatment on the number of birds that died or were culled during the study.

Key Words: Antibiotics • monensin • turkeys • zinc bacitracin
